Arctic Char
Known for its bright colors, high up in the clear mountain lakes around Arjeplog, the Arctic char swims in some of the coldest, cleanest waters in Sweden. The Arctic char thrives in cold water. During summer, it often moves to deeper parts of the lowland lakes where the temperature stays cooler. But up in the mountains, where the water remains cold even on warm days, char can be caught closer to the surface – often with a fly or a light spinner.

This package includes a one-bedroom apartment (about 45 m²) with a double bed, living room, kitchen, TV, and Wi-Fi. It's a cozy and convenient base for your fishing adventure.

You’ll learn the basics of casting, handling the rod, and reading the water. All gear is included, so you don’t need to bring anything.
Whether you're completely new or just curious, this is a great way to discover fly fishing in one of Sweden’s most beautiful fishing areas.
Behind Arjeplog Fishing
In 2021, I discovered Arjeplog and from that moment it became my ultimate destination. This place is something truly special. Arjeplog has everything I had been searching for on my long fishing trips and road journeys—endless summer nights, untouched wilderness, majestic trout, and beautiful grayling. But it also had something extra: world-class pike fishing and perch fishing that brings back childhood memories.
I moved to Arjeplog in the summer of 2024 and with Arjeplog Fishing I want to share the very experience that kept drawing me back year after year—until I finally decided to make this place my home.

How to get to Arjeplog
There are direct flights from Munich to Bodø, Norway. From Bodø Airport, it takes about 3.5 hours by car to Arjeplog. The road goes over the Norwegian mountains and offers beautiful views all the way. Arvidsjaur Airport is the closest option – only 1 hour away by car. Luleå Airport is another choice, 3 hours from Arjeplog.
Driving to Arjeplog is also an option. From southern Sweden, you can take the scenic inland route or follow the coastal roads up to Umeå, then head west into the interior.
